DLL 2019 Table Quiz

In 2017 DLL hosted a ‘Save Dublin Lesbian Line’ table quiz in Panti Bar. And it worked! You did it, you saved DLL! Two years on we are asking you to join us again for another wonderfully quizzical night. Join us in Street 66 on May 8th to raise vital funds for DLL to keep our phone lines and online chat running every week.

Details:

When: 8th of May
Where: Street 66
Time: 7.30pm
The cost: €40 per table/€10 per person
Tickets: You can purchase an individual ticket here:
https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/dublin-lesbian-line-quiz-2019-tickets-59888323588 and some tickets will be available on the door on the night.

What you can expect on the night: Fabulous raffle prizes, an incredible host (Tracy Martin), and a wonderful, queer, quizzical night :)
What it is for: DLL are not funded by the government so we rely on donations from the public to continue support the LGBTQAI+ community.
Contact: If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch. You can email us in relation to the quiz at hello@dublinlesbianline.ie

What we do:

With your support and all of the funding we have received over the past two years we have been able to broaden DLL’s services and continuing supporting the LGBTQAI+ community in the following ways:

  • Recruiting and training new helpline volunteers.
  • Reopening DLL helpline every Thursday evenings from 6.30pm - 9.00pm.
  • Opening an online chat every Thursday evenings from 6.30pm - 9.00pm.
  • Conducting workshops and training with institutions such as IADT, College of Psychiatrists, NCAD and Pink Training.
  • Facilitating Wellness Courses for LGBTQIA+ Women* throughout 2017,2018 and 2019.
  • Organising events such as ‘Finding Your Community’ and the ‘Good Mood Festival’ and ‘Soapbox Sessions’ to create more spaces for supportive face-to-face interactions for the community.
  • Increasing visibility of DLL and the issues that our community face through social media.
  • Updating the website with information about various LGBTQAI+ resources.
  • Making submissions to the Gender Recognition Act 2015 (Review) and Department of Justice and Equality’s LGBTI Strategy.
  • Collaborating with the Irish Refugee Council to facilitate a social group organized for LGBTQIA+ people seeking asylum/with refugee status.
