40 Years FearlessOn October 11th Dublin Lesbian Line will host a ‘40 Years Fearless Fundraiser’ to celebrate our 40th anniversary in The Tara Building.
To celebrate our 40th birthday we are inviting the public to join us in the beautiful setting of The Tara Building for a night of talks, music and poetry. We will hear from some incredible speakers on the night to talk about the history of DLL, the work DLL has done over the past 4 decades, and we will reflect on the changes we have seen in the LGBTQAI+ community over the past 40 years. Our speakers will include Ailbhe Smyth, Irish academic, feminist and LGBT activist; Ger Moane, former volunteer, Patricia Kennedy, former volunteer; and Joanne O’Connell, DLL wellness course participant. Tickets for the event are €10 and all funds raised from the event will go straight back into the running of the DLL helpline. |
Performers will include:
- Molly Sterling, a Dublin-based singer and songwriter who is known for her hugely successful singles 'Stripped Down', 'Plain Static' and 'Feeble'.
- Avoca Reaction, a queer performer and founder of Avoca Reaction’s Big Durty Queer Cabaret.
- Vicky Curtis, a spoken word artist, and co-creator of GAA MAAD, a 2019 Dublin Fringe Festival show.
